“Everyone is searching for a place where their sadness and loneliness can be healed. For you, that place is here. Don’t be afraid, don’t hesitate anymore, because I’ll protect you.”

The truth is, it’s hard to make everyone understand how much this group composed of five amazingly wonderful people mean to me. Tweets, posts, graphics won’t really be able to show how thankful I am that I got to know TVXQ and their music, and how much they have changed and inspired me while I was growing up.

[사진] Photo Dump #2 (+a bit of RL)

I planned on writing at least once a day, but I ended up putting it off for the next day, until it’s already been over a week since my last post. How could time pass by so fast? And how much lazier can I get?

The last time I slept on my bed was… Thursday morning. I haven’t really slept properly since then, save for a short nap yesterday afternoon. I made a list of things to do, but it’s been several days and I haven’t accomplished most of them. I wanted to finish them yesterday, but I felt sick, and ended up not finishing anything at all. I tried resting, because I was supposed to have dinner with Ate Meg, Ate MheAnn, Alex and Ate Leslie (who came all the way from the province) at a Korean restaurant, and I didn’t want to miss it, because it was the first time I’ll be meeting Leslie unnie after 3 years!

And then in the afternoon rain poured really hard. I couldn’t really leave because it would be difficult for me to find transportation — the last FX that goes to Market Market has already left, and there were no cabs passing in our area =_=’ So my only hope is if my parents drop me off to the mall so I can take a cab from there. I dressed up, and waited and waited. And finally we left, but I ended up going back home on a trike because things didn’t really go well. =/ I missed the dinner, and spent the rest of the night just listening to BigBang, and TVXQ songs.

A Good Morning + Gorgeous JaeJoong

Hi! ^^ It’s 8AM, and I just finished working on something. I haven’t slept yet but I feel so awake anyway! Haha ^^;

I was browsing through photos that I took in the past months, and upon opening a folder, there were photos of JaeJoong from one of the All About TVXQ DVDs. I took these photos while we were watching them several months back…

Isn’t he gorgeous? gnjgaghak LOL *_* Honestly. I love this man, and I do not doubt his manliness at all (despite him having such beautiful features), but AHHHH dressed up like this, I just can’t help but stare. /facepalms

#CandySkyinSeoul2010: TIMEOUT GELATO: 1/5 – 2010 10 21

Good morning! ^^ It’s almost 2AM and again, I have yet to go to bed. Haha. Slowly, body clock! I will get you back on track! Haha ^^

So a couple of nights ago, I was ~reminiscing~ about our 12-day Seoul trip last year. My sister Katie did a great job outlining what we did during the day in her scheduler, so we ended up browsing through it, and reading the accounts, recalling stuff that we did during our two weeks of stay in Seoul. We had two “Dong Bang Days”, the first one with Meli and Diane unnie-deul, and the last one with just the two of us, a day before our departure back to Manila.

I knowww I haven’t blogged about my trips at all, save maybe for an entry I posted about the Malaysia trip before my blog crashed, and then the quick entry about the JYJ Showcase in Malaysia that I wrote before I left for Bangkok in April. I promise to find time and write about those soon! But for now — I really want to blog about one of the places we went to a lot.

One of the shops Katie and I kept going back to was Timeout Gelato. It’s a gelato bar located in Apgujeong (very near Hyundae Department Store as well as Apgujeong-yeok) and is owned by none other than TVXQ’s Micky YooChun! This was our second stop for the first ~Dong Bang Day~. (First stop was Misarang Imsil Pizza, the restaurant owned by JunSu’s family). Timeout Gelato is where we kept going back to every other day of our trip, even if Hongdae, where our hostel was located, is a bit far from it. ^^’

I actually forgot to take a photo of the front of the store, because I was in too much of a hurry to get inside, and get my gelato. Haha. This was actually our second time going to Timeout. The first one was in 2009, during our trip to Seoul with our Mom. (I guess I’ll post a separate entry for that? If I do find photos… I lost so much when my white MacBook got stolen in late 2009 ;;)

We got in and settled to a table~ And then I quickly went to the counter to take photos. ROFL. GELATOOOOOOO AT LAST! Haha! It was Autumn that time, and these were the available flavors:

Pistacio Sicillia, Cherry Ripe, Mango Cream, Cookies and Cream, Pineapple Yogurt, Tim Tams, Melon Cream, Blueberry Cheese, Apricot Yogurt, Dark Chocolate,

… and I forgot the other 2 that got cut from this photo;

(This post is totally image-heavy! XD Click read more for full post!)

JaeChunSu, Jeju and the unfair treatment by KBS

In line with what @mjjeje tweeted, I made a new Twitter icon for myself *_*

This is HyeopJae Beach in Jeju~ ^^

For those who aren’t aware, a couple of months back, our JaeJoong, YooChun and JunSu were appointed by the local government of Jeju-do as the Official Honorary Ambassadors of Jeju.

Jeju Island is in the running to be one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. (So is the Philippines’ very own Puerto Princesa Underground River!)

Since the announcement that our boys have been appointed ambassadors, many overseas fans have since then helped in voting for Jeju Island and also in spreading the word about it.

Currently, Jeju Island is at the #2 spot on the N7W Voting Trends list.

A lot of us have been looking forward to their performance on the Jeju special that will be broadcasted through KBS on July 20th. However, on July 16th, KBS announced the cancelation of the JaeChunSu’s participation in the special. Which turned out to be a decision made and announced without the knowledge of the artists, their company and even the local government of Jeju.

And then later on they announced that SNSD and f(x) will be performing in their place, because the said groups are more “effective” than Kim JaeJoong, Park YooChun and Kim JunSu.

D: (I am a fan of both SNSD and f(x), but KBS’ claim about effectiveness? It’s all. BS.)

First day of Korean Language Class

Yesterday I attended the first meeting for the Basic Korean Language Class that I signed up for weeks ago. It’s offered by the Korean Cultural Center here in the Philippines for free, and you only have to pay PHP 500 for the materials.

Actually, I’ve already taken up Basic Korean twice — first was in 2009, when Ateneo started offering classes for it every Saturday. The thing with that is I wasn’t able to finish the course because I ended up having several events to attend and was absent majority of the meetings. The second time was during my last semester of college. Ateneo finally included it as one of the Foreign Languages offered, and so I took the class, which I realized was a wrong move on my part. I already had full units for the semester, and because I wanted to take the Korean class, I had to overload. Add my Senior’s thesis plus several other core subjects, which kept me so occupied I did not have enough time to focus on learning the language.

Imagine my glee when KCC announced that they were offering Korean classes! There were different schedules like MWF and Saturday classes. Basic Korean was only offered on Saturdays, 9AM-12NN. Apparently it was such a big hit that all the slots were filled out in less than a day. Haha. (I did encounter a bit of a problem with the payment though, because I keep forgetting to go to BDO / did not have time for it, good thing Meg unnie helped me out^^ Thank you unnie!)

So for our first day yesterday, I was lucky I got there on time. It was raining really hard too! When I got to KCC, one of my friends from Ateneo, Joyce, was there as well. We were asked to proceed to the classroom and take our seats. I saved a table for Meg and Gab unnie who were running a bit late.

After a while our other classmates started arriving, as well as my unnies and class started as soon as the staff and our teacher were finished setting up the projector. Our 선상님’s name is Vicky and huuu she is soooo nice and adorbs. (LOL Joyce would know how much I was squeeing, because she seriously is so cute!)
